DCLAD has an in-house furnace installed to fulfill the requirements of its customers for post-weld heat treatment (PWHT) services.

Post Weld Heat Treatment (PWHT) is a crucial process applied after welding to relieve residual stresses, reduce hardness, and enhance the mechanical properties of weldments. In the context of weld overlay cladding, PWHT ensures metallurgical stability between the base material and the corrosion-resistant overlay, thereby enhancing the durability and performance of the component in demanding service environments.

Our facility is equipped with a fully in-house PWHT furnace, allowing for precise control over heating and cooling cycles. The furnace has internal dimensions of 3 meters in height, 2.5 meters in width, and 2.5 meters in length, and is capable of handling components up to 8 tons in weight. This capability ensures fast turnaround times, consistent quality, and full compliance with applicable codes and client specifications.
