Quality Assurance

Driven by the commitment to satisfying customers’ expectations in performance, and full products / services compliance to the applicable regulations and specifications, DCLAD implements an up-to-standards Quality Management System (QMS), developed in accordance with the requirements of ISO and API international standards – governing the service applications of our products / services. In proof of our fulfillment of these standards, DCLAD holds the following certifications:

  • API-5LD (standard applicable for the manufacturing of Clad Steel Pipes)
  • API Spec Q1, 9th Edition (QMS compliance to the Petroleum and Natural Gas industries)
  • ISO 3834 (European Welding Federation certificate – Weld Overlay Cladding products)
  • ISO 9001:2015 (quality management system compliance)
  • ISO 14001:2015 (environmental management system compliance)
  • ISO 45001:2018 (occupational health and safety management system compliance)

Quality Control

Quality control plays a vital role in ascertaining the quality and integrity of our products and services. DCLAD has all the in-house Non-Destructive Testing equipment to carry out quality checks, during and after production, on the clad components to identify any defects that may compromise the required performance of the product – without causing any damage to the object being tested. As under, is a list of DCLAD’s in-house NDT capabilities: –
  • Dye Penetrant Testing (DPT)
  • Positive Material Identification (PMI)
  • Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI)
  • Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
  • Clad Thickness Measurement
  • 3D Dimensional Measurement (Portable CMM)
  • Hardness Testing
  • Ferrite Determination

Following an internal quality control procedure dedicated for each NDT activity, which is put into practice by our qualified QC inspectors, DCLAD guarantees early detection of potential defects, assures clad integrity, and affirms adherence to dimensional requirements. QC reports are generated post-completion of each activity and subsequently, rendered to our customers for review and acceptance in prior to dispatch.

The scope of services provided by DCLAD includes Manufacture and Repair of Components with Corrosion Resistant Overlays for Valves, Wellhead and Christmas Tree Equipment; Fabrication of piping spools; Corrosion Resistant Overlaying of Pipes, Flanges and Fittings; Provision of Welding Services.
